Application on for integrated master’s programme

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow has invited online applications for the five-year integrated master’s programme in MChem Chemistry with Drug Discovery.
 
Students who have acquired 70-75% marks in all subjects in class XII are eligible to apply. Marks in Chemistry, Math and Physics and/or Biology are particularly expected to be high for admission to this programme.
 
Through this programme, students will learn core Chemistry blended with specialised areas of study on disease targets, design of selectively-acting prototype drugs, synthetic and mimetic strategies in producing drug prototypes, and the refinement of promising compounds.
 
Students can also study at a European university for one year of their degree as well as spend their placement year abroad. In case of unsatisfactory grades, candidates can switch between with other MChem/BSc programmes such as MChem/BSc (Hons) Chemistry and MChem/BSc (Hons) Forensic and Analytical Chemistry within the first three years.
 
This course is aimed to bridge the gap between Chemistry, Biomedical Science and Pharmacy. This course prepares graduates to succeed in the international job market – either in the traditional pharmaceuticals or medicinal chemistry industries or in the new world of biotechnology.
 
Fee: International students need to pay £18,950 for 2019-20
 
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed class XII with an appropriate qualification in English (IELTS 6.5 or above)
