JEE Advanced 2019: Effective tips to fare well in the exam

In this competitive world, students put in their best efforts to keep themselves different and unique from all. The huge demand for careers in Engineering has encouraged an undying spirit in students to outshine their peers.
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is one such competitive exam that is conducted every year for admission into an engineering course all over India. JEE is now held at two different levels that is namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The exam is engineered in order to assess the aptitude and analytical, logical and reasoning skills of students. Although the syllabus of class XI and XII and that of JEE Main and Advanced is similar, the pattern is quite different.
Normally, students experience exam-fever and become anxious just before the exam. To avoid this situation, it is best to start preparing beforehand and to be familiar with the details of the exam that they are going to appear in. For this, it is essential for students to browse through some of the vital topics and strategies that will assist them to crack the exam well.
Tips for last minute preparation:
1. Solve previous years’ papers
Since every year the syllabus and question paper trends change, which in return alters the difficulty level of the exams as well, students must solve JEE previous years’ question papers in order to grasp the changes well. They must solve at least 15-20 mock papers before appearing in the entrance exam. Solving such papers in a time-bound manner will aid them to augment their time management skills thereby improving their overall performance too.
2. Maintain a calm mind
Before appearing in the exam, students are advised to free their minds of all anxieties and tensions by listening to music or engaging in fun activities such as sports, etc. that would keep their minds calm. A good sleep and fresh mind is the key to tap the maximum efficiency during exams. Most students usually study the entire night before the exams and sleep in the daytime. However, when this habit is suddenly reversed on the previous night before the exam day, it leaves students in a state of anxiety. To avoid this outcome, it is best that they regulate their study hours in a way that helps them to stay active and feel fresh during the exam.
3. Believe in yourself
When appearing in JEE Advanced, the best thing an aspirant can do is to be confident and have trust in their abilities. Self-confidence wins half the battle thereby providing the desired result.
