Hormis memorial award

Applications are open for the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation scholarship 2015-16 for college students in four states. The full tuition fees of 20 shortlisted students in each discipline will be reimbursed, as per the fee structure, subject to a maximum of Rs 1 lakh per year. One place in each discipline will be kept aside for physically challenged students, who will require a certificate issued by a medical officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved medical officer of the bank. If applications are not received from eligible candidates under the ‘physically challenged’ category, the authorities will use it for the general category.

Eligibility: Applicants should be studying medicine, agriculture, engineering, nursing or MBA programmes in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra. They should have enrolled for the 2015-16 academic year under the government quota in government, aided or self-financed colleges. The annual income of the applicant’s family should be below Rs 3 lakh. The scholarship has been instituted in memory of KP Hormis, founder of the bank. The form is available at www.federalbank.co.in
