Bangalore-based Canadian International School (CIS) is inviting applications for 10 scholarships- two 100% and eight 75% for class IX students to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme and class XI students to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Announcing the scholarships, Shweta Sastri, managing director of the school, said, “In a bid to provide an opportunity to the strongest minds in the country and assist them in getting access to quality education and international level of learning standards, CIS is offering this scholarship. CIS mission is to help the deserving students realize their educational goals by providing annual scholarships that acknowledge academic excellence and consider financial need too.”
Eligibility: Candidates having minimum 80% in previous class or equivalent for the IB program can apply for the IB scholarship. For the IGCSE scholarship, candidates must have a minimum 85% in previous class or equivalent.
The shortlisted candidates will also have to take written tests in English, Mathematics and one Science subject of the applicant’s choice. This will be followed by a subsequent interview with the CIS scholarship committee. The final selection will be made based on the written tests and interview where 80% weightage will be given to the tests and 20% to the interview.
