Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) has introduced one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Design Thinking (PGDEID) from the academic session 2018-2019.

The multi-disciplinary course will focus on entrepreneurship along with business management through innovations and design thinking, to develop advanced knowledge and skills in students for becoming successful entrepreneurs.

“The aim behind introducing the program is to encourage entrepreneurship, innovation and design thinking among formally educated graduates, employed individuals and young entrepreneurs,” said Zishan Husain Khan, director, CIE.

The faculty will include experts from the field of entrepreneurship, innovation and design thinking, along with visiting professors from IIMs, IITs and Central universities. Entrepreneurs from various walks of life will also be invited as student mentors.

The course pedagogy is said to cover all the aspects of setting up a start-up and will incorporate entrepreneurial business planning, marketing research, managerial and domain skills, engineering innovations, design thinking and start-up project execution. The centre will also select a few start-up ideas generated by students and invite investors for funding.

The course is open to students across disciplines and applicants can apply for admission before July 31, 2018 through the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia at http://jmicoe.in.
