Neha Verma who is a daughter of a driver has topped the Punjab School Education Board (PSBE) class X examination results. In the academic category, Neha, a student of Teja Singh Sutantar Senior Secondary School, Shimlapuri, Ludhiana, has scored 99.54% marks in the exams, which were conducted between March 15 and April 1. Neha dreams to become an IAS officer. Neha’s father Pawan Kumar works as a driver and mother Jeeya Verma is a housewife.

This year, the pass percentage is 85.56%, which is an increase of 28.06%. In 2018, the pass percentage was 57.5%.
There is a tie among three students for the second position. All three students have scored 645 out of 650 in the exam. As many as eight students have scored 644 out of 650 to share the third rank.

In sports category, a total of three students have scored a perfect 100% by scoring 650 out of 650 marks. The board awards 15% and 25% grace marks to students who have played state level and national level, respectively. A total of 3.80 lakh students appeared in Class X board exams.
