Saibaba Telefilms Ltd launched their music academy Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Academy in Mumbai on August 21, 2007.  
The academy offers students a rigorous training programme in music as well as grooming in performance, personality development, proper diction and communication skills, career planning in the music business and yoga.
Saibaba Telefilms was founded by Indian Television producer and director Gajjendra Singh who became famous for introducing the concept of reality shows in India and creating a number of popular talent hunt shows.
Singh's wanted to offer a platform to allow talent to peruse their passion for music but also prepare them for a career in the industry. And so, he went on to establish the academy.
The academy offers a one-year residential programme that covers music and riyaz sessions, diction and listening, career planning session etc. The course, in which 32 students are selected from across the country after auditions and interviews, is conducted under the supervision of experienced mentors. 
The dean of the school, Sucheta Bhattacharjee, is protégée to music exponent Pandit Mani Prasad. Current faculty include Dr Pandit Aksaran Sharma, a classical vocalist, Pandit Sharma, a composer and vocal teachers Annuj Kapoor and Anand Sharma.
