Some of the major Canada employers are choosing graduates from the University of Mumbai and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to hire in their organisations, according to a recently conducted study by SEMrush. The study has been conducted on LinkedIn.
The study investigated the educational background of the employees being hired by major companies based out of Canada. It revealed that there are top 20 universities preferred by the country’s reputed organisations where interestingly, the University of Mumbai and Kendriya Vidyalaya stood at 10th and 15th position, respectively.
The University of Toronto remains on the top, followed by Ryerson University, York University, University of Waterloo and Concordia University respectively in the top 20 list. The ranking of the universities was decided by the number of times these universities were searched by leading Canadian companies.
Commenting on the findings from the study, Fernando Angulo, head of International Market, SEMrush said, “Indian graduates are preferred by many international companies across the globe. Indian employees are skilled, adaptable and fluent in English, which might account for them being sought-after by prominent companies. Additionally, because of names such as Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella to name a few, Indians are getting such acceptance worldwide.”
