Free revaluation for intermediate exams in Telangana, says CM

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has ordered free re-evaluation of answer sheets and recounting of failed candidates’ in the intermediate exams conducted in the state in March.
 
The decision was taken after widespread protests in the state seeking justice for around three lakh students in the state, who have failed in the intermediate examinations this year for which the results were declared on April 18.
 
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has activated re-counting and re-verification links on its website http://bie.telangana.gov.in/ 
 
So far, the board has received a total of 28845, 5477 applications for re-verification and recounting, respectively.
 
A three-member panel has also been constituted to investigate the matter. A total number of 7.90 lakh students appeared for the exam.
