Online registrations for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) are now open. Candidates can apply at https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in/register.html. Acoording to the official CLAT website, the exam will be conducted on May 12, 2019 (3:00 PM to 5:00 PM) by National Law University, Orissa at various test centres across the country.
CLAT is a centralised test for admission to as many as 21 National Law Universities in India. The score of the exam is also used by almost 40 other educational institutes offering courses in Law.
There will be no upper age limit for UG and PG programme in CLAT 2019. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2019 are also eligible to apply.
For admission in undergraduate programmes, the candidates must have scored atleast 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and 40% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Candidates seeking admission in PG programmes must have an LLB Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and 50% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee online. The mount of the application fee is dependent on the category of the applicant.
